Ukraine denies involvement in drone attacks on Moscow

The Ukrainian government denied accusations that it was directly responsible for the recent drone attacks on Moscow. Ukrainian President Advisor, Mychajlo Podoljak, confirmed that while they welcomed the attacks, they had nothing to do with them. Russia’s Defense Ministry has held Ukraine responsible for the attacks.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany, Oleksii Makeiev, ruled out any territorial concessions to Russia and emphasized that Russia must leave the occupied territories. Makeiev said that discussions must also include Russian reparations to Ukraine. The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) reported that Russia’s defense spending in 2022 was 4.1% of its gross domestic product (GDP).
