170,000 households and businesses in Ireland without power

The storm “Isha” has caused widespread power outages in Ireland. At least 170,000 households and businesses are affected, according to the “Irish Times”. Over 100 flights have been canceled at Dublin Airport.

According to media reports, at least 170,000 households, agricultural farms, and businesses in Ireland have been cut off from the power grid due to the storm “Isha”. This was reported by the “Irish Times” on Sunday evening, citing a power supplier.

The Irish Coast Guard has urged people to stay away from the coast due to the storm. They shared a video from the port town of Dun Laoghaire on the online platform X, where “terrible conditions” currently prevail. People should not take any risks. The video showed rough seas.

Canceled flights and traffic disruptions

According to the “Irish Times”, airlines have canceled at least 148 flights at Dublin Airport by Sunday evening. There have also been disruptions in train and bus services, with numerous trees falling onto roads. A warning for strong winds, which applies to several regions, will remain in effect until Monday evening.
