Manhattan DA Says Trump Created False Expectation of Arrest

In a letter addressed to congressional Republicans, Bragg stated that Trump was to blame for the chaos surrounding the grand jury. According to Bragg, Trump “created a false expectation that he would be arrested.”
Bragg’s letter comes as the grand jury was postponed for the second time in a week, further adding to the confusion and speculation surrounding the case.
The grand jury investigation centers on allegations that Trump and his company, the Trump Organization, engaged in criminal activities, including tax fraud and insurance fraud, over several years.
Trump has denied any wrongdoing and has accused Bragg of pursuing a politically motivated campaign against him.
In response to Bragg’s letter, Trump released a statement accusing the DA of using the grand jury as a political tool to further his own agenda.
