According to authorities, the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, has once again been targeted by Russian rockets. The spokesperson for the Kiev Military Administration, Mykhailo Shamanov, stated on television that several Russian hypersonic missiles of the “Kinzhal” type (Russian for “Dagger”) were shot down by the air defense system.
Earlier, air sirens were triggered throughout Ukraine due to the presence of Russian MiG-31K jets. Several explosions were heard in Kiev. The mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, urged the population to stay in shelters. He wrote on Telegram that the air defense system is in operation.
Authorities reported finding rocket debris in a northern district of the city. They fell on the grounds of a children’s hospital and the roof of a private house.
